Wasteable Buddies – Take it to win

For our course “Interface Cultures” a colleague and i made a little game which combines the use of the Wii-mote and the arduino board.
The Idea:
During the game you are connected with a fictional friend of yours. This friend is represented via several LEDs on the arduino board connected to your laptop. If your lifes reach a critical point, you are told by the game to take the live of your friend to continue playing. But if you do this, you have to deal with much harder enemies.
The Technics:
everything was done in C++ and openFrameworks. To achive the communication between openFrameworks and the arduino board we loaded a “StandardFirmata” to the board.
The Wii-mote controls the game via Bluetooth commands sent to the computer. A software called Osculator converts these commands to OSC messages, which are then passed on to our application.
But…enough said, just have a look.
